The village Sibiel is situated 21 km from Sibiu, on the river bed of the river with the same name “Sibiel” and is one of 17 settlements on the southwestern outskirts of Sibiu, the Saxon center of culture in Transylvania. In Sibiu, the anthro-pological and cultural heritage is a unique architecture and history. After the typical Saxon style the houses are lined up one beside the other, inspired by the wealth and sobriety. Streets with cobblestone paving wind between the houses and along the river Cibin. Tradition and down-to-earthness make this picturesque village a busy and wellknown tourist spot.
